Great suit! Super comfortable and a great color!

I initially bought these in 34" because that is what I wear in the surfnyl version. For the surfstretch, the 34" were a little loose when wet, so I got 33" instead. Stay all the way up when wet now. Great boardshorts, as always, BUY USA! Especially CA.

Made in the USA!! I've been wearing Birdwell's since 1979. Quality and craftsmanship is just as good or better than my first pair.

I freaking LOVE my first pair of the 806s in Gold — and they truly fit great.

I grew up wearing Birdwells in the 1980s. I was thin then, and still thin now. Here I am in my 50s, struggling to find shorts built like they used to be back in the day. Then I discovered Birdwell was still around, stronger than ever.

I decided to go with my first pair of the 806 style in the new SURFSTRETCH:registered: fabric — a material I’d never experienced before. For reference, I’m 5’9”, 140 pounds, with more of a runner’s build.

First impression? The new material feels fantastic. It’s noticeably softer, lighter, and incredibly comfortable.

Sizing-wise, I was nervous. I’m around a 29” waist, and since they don’t offer a 29, I wasn’t sure what to do. I tried on a classic size 30 in the original SURFNYL:registered:, and they were slightly too big. I took a chance on the 28 in the 806, and they fit just right.

And let me say this — the 806 cut is incredible for slimmer guys. The shorter cut just works if you’ve got a lean build. Honestly, they feel like they were made for us thin guys.

I highly recommend these.

I’m already ordering a backup pair in the 310, since the more durable original fabric isn’t available in the 806 or 808. The 806s are light, comfortable, and perfect for the pool or everyday wear, but I also want a pair in the original fabric for surfing and activities where you want that extra durability and wear resistance.

I’ll definitely leave another review once they arrive.

This is my second pair. I like them. Sizing is still hard to figure. But, good comfort and fit. I still wish you would bring back the lighter cotton t-shirts because the newer ones are not nearly as comfortable in warm climates

Fantastic shorts. I use these while diving and they are great. Just the right amount of stretch and good coverage.

For a $150 dollar shorts theater are terrible in fact I bought 2 pair of ur board shorts and they both have a terrible fit in every possible way

Love the quality and style but - I’ve found the 33’ size to big and the 32’ size to small - kind of frustrating when you spend this much on trunks. I live in trunks (fishing and surfing 5 days a week on pohnpei in Micronesia) so having quality that fit is important. My wife says to either loose weight or gain and stop winning.

Looking forward to trying a smaller size, the material feels like it will be comfortable.

The products you sell are great, no complaints there at all. But waiting around 3 weeks for delivery in today's world is ridiculous.

I paid an extra $30~ to have my item here by Wednesday. It’s Monday and still : No product, No communication and No response from a customer service inquiry I made on your site. Now,. . you may say it’s FedEx etc…but perception is reality. I ordered this from Birdwell and Birdwell has not delivered nor have they communicated until now wanting a 5 Star review.
