I purchased these for my husband as a surprise. He had been talking about them for months. He loves the way they hit at the mid thigh and he loves the material. He is already talking about ordering more. I would definitely recommend to anyone considering these shorts!

I like the shorts but I’ve only had them a few weeks and the button on the back pocket is gone.

Felt I needed a pair of sharp looking shorts and don't regret my decision in grabbing these one bit. Looking forward to wearing them in so I dont feel like I'm wearing dress clothes

I've got three pairs of your shorts, I love them. I find them rather comfortable and stylish. You have changed the leg length and the this ones are a bit larger than others I've got. Unfortunately, the charcoal ones got a splash of bleach on them. . .

Over the years I keep buying and replacing these shorts. I look forward to when they release them. I purchased two pair this time around, not looking at the new specs. These were at a perfect length in previous years. Now Birdwell has made them longer. Most likely to return as I don't see how I should have to spend more at a tailor after already spending more than $300.

I was so stoked to receive these old school Cords, I had to take a chance and order one pair for a trial to check sizing, I wasn't aware they are pre-shrunk which is excellent to find out as I talked to Mike online, he told me to send them back for an exchange No Problem, BTW great Dude and cant wait to meet you in the future at the shop! I initially ordered size 31, they were a tad snug in the hips, I exchanged for a size 32 waist and they fit perfectly. I/m 5'11, 178lbs pretty fit and lean and normally wear between a 31 or 32 waist depending on much room is in the seat and hips. These are even better than the OP version I wore back in late 1970's. I'll be marinating in these bad boys all summer proudly sporting my Birds "Made in California/ America" labeled on my backside! Yes, I will be ordering more colors! This Company Is Awesome, so glad they are still sticking to the SoCal styles and keeping them coming back! These are beautifully made from deeply-dyed, heavy fabric, with great workmanship and details.
Thing is, I was really hoping for a shorter length, similar to the original OP corduroy shorts.
These hit just above my knees and I’m 6’1”. Because of the front pockets, I’m unsure whether a tailor can hem them much shorter, so these may have to be returned.

Looks great, straight, not baggy, big pockets, solid waistband, but soft fabric, not heavy. Great button fly with a stretch material for the inner fly/button-hole, gives good comfort/movement.

Love the shorts. Great design. Perfect fit. Love Birdwell products. So far, I have never seen another person around me wearing the same shorts, trunks and etc. You will have a feeling that the things you wear are really unique and only yours.
