I ordered and received my birds in about 7 days. Exceptional quality and they look great. I really like the custom patches to make them more personal and unique.

I have been wearing Birdwell’s for 40 years. I will always miss the Velcro sound of the past but today’s britches are 110% the same great product I wore in the 70s. The order process and customer service are 1st class. I now have my sons wearing them and they love they just as much as I do.

Absolutely love my Birdwell custom patch beach britches. I haven’t had a pair since I was in high school and they didn’t disappoint! Love the quality and the feel- adding the custom patch made them even that much better!

Wanted a pair of custom board shorts...with the help from their customer service, which is also five stars, figured out exactly what size I needed, filled out the questionnaire and a few weeks later got exactly what I ordered. After 5 days, my wife said I needed to wear something else.

I give the 312 five stars due to the fit, quality and durability of the fabric and construction of the shorts themselves. I have worn Birdwell beach britches for 35 years now and have found no other shorts that compare.....Birdwell is the best, hands down!!!!

I just bought a pair of Birdwell 312 Board Shorts and I love them more than I expected! The quality is top shelf, the fit is excellent, and I've already had several comments on how I got the patches on my pair (I went with a peace symbol and state flag).

Worth every penny and these are now my 'go to' pair everyday!

Simply the best boardshorts you can buy. Bulletproof boardies. I hope Birdwell does a full run of 312s. Love the long length. I’ve been wearing Birdwells for 30 years and the 312s are the best. I’m 6’3” 185lbs. Size 34

Since I haven't even received these yet, It's a bit hard to review what still hasn't arrived. The tracking function shows that it was stuck in one spot for three days, and it has finally made it to the east coast from Whittier, CA.
Maybe in another day or two they might actually show up in my mailbox.

The fact that there are very few options for tall people like me, I’m 6’-4” minimize my options to procure a product I love. More long shorts would be great!

The out-seam didn’t reach past my knees like the photos. Thinking I ordered the wrong size I checked the fit guide. The pair I received had a waist 2” shorter than it was supposed to be. I get it, some of their stuff is handmade but come on,this is a premium product get your quality assurance in check. I tried sagging them to see how they would fit if they sent me the right size, still the out-seam didn’t reach over my knees.

I thought okay not the most accurate way to see if they’ll style right so let me go exchange these. The 312 in my size sold out so I couldn’t exchange for the correct size. Contacted customer service via email, they got back to me in a reasonable time but all they said was sorry for the inconvenience we can help you explore an alternative board short. I mentioned a style I liked even though I was bummed I couldn’t get what I wanted originally. I was expecting them to help facilitate an exchange but instead I got ghosted 2 days. Called the customer service phone number 3 different times multiple hours apart. Straight to automated voicemail. So lame!! I expect a product that’s $120 to come in the right size and style somewhat like the photos.

False advertising. Model must be short wearing an oversized pair, the model in the camo 312 is a more accurate depiction of what you’ll receive. I compared size guides with other brands doing this over the knee trend and their out seams are around 2” longer than what Birdwell is doing. I also think it’s fair to expect better customer service especially since I’m a returning customer and they messed up the product on their end. Bummed cuz I love my other pairs and was excited about the long style.

The greatest boardshorts because they last forever. I’ve worn Birdies for 30 years. Hope the revive the 312 line with a full lineup. Offer the old school patches and customize them.

The product itself is absolutely fine and the quality meets my expectations. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the customer service.

I noticed an address error immediately after placing my order and contacted Birdwell straight away to have it corrected or the order cancelled. There was no way to amend the order myself. I then waited several days for a response and was unable to reach anyone by phone.

Instead of helping to resolve the issue, I was simply told to contact the residents at the incorrect address myself. That is not what I expect from a premium brand.

In the end, I had to place a second order because I had no idea whether the first one would ever arrive. While the product is good, the entire customer service experience was frustrating, slow, and disappointing.

Birdwell board shorts are the very best. This is my third pair in my entire life and I still have the other two I just got smaller. They’re fantastic.

But worth it! Free S/H would be nice.

I learned to surf in high school in the late ‘60’s. Though I lived in the Valley (SFV), me and my surf buddies would usually get someone’s dad to drive us to Malibu early Saturday or Sunday mornings and then come back and pick us up around 4 or 5. Boards and all. Five of us usually. And of course we were all still wet and sandy on the return trips. As a father (and grandfather) now myself it’s with deep gratitude and respect that I remember those kind and selfless men who made it possible for me and my gremmie crew to experience Surfrider Beach in the Halcyon days. We couldn’t surf very good but we were there in the water with the likes of Corky Carroll, David Nuuhiwa, and Miki Dora (yes, he really did walk his board like a “cat”). We wore “baggies”. None of us had Birdwell ‘s baggies however but I do recall seeing them around, with their groovy label, and wishing I had a pair. Fast forward 50 plus years and, boom, I just got my first pair. SO bitchen. White tips, no less! Built like a tank. They look and fit great and will probably last me another 50 years.
