Most Excellent Shorts

Their button fly shorts are the best. I highly suggest you follow the sizing instructions on the website because these are three sizes smaller than most of the pants I buy. I couldn't believe it when they actually fit.

Excellent Board Shorts

I bought my first pair of Birdwell board shorts in 1964 and many more since. I love their quality, durability and style. I'm now 74 and had to get this classic style for old times sake!!! Love them. They bring back old memories of surfing County Line, Ventura Fairgrounds and Rincon!!!

Durability and style

I haven't picked up my 300 Legends yet, they're in the States waiting for me at my nephews place. I live in Costa Rica - and while my neighborhood shop carries your trunks now, they didn't have these. I've worn Birdwells for many years. I find that they are the only trunks that hold up to daily use. They fit correctly. They don't stretch. It takes years for them to fade. the color options are simple and stylish. They're easy to repair if needed (like replacing a pocket button). I love the original SurfNyl but I've also come to appreciate the Stretch versions. I size down one on Stretch, but now that I've dialed that in, I appreciate both versions. Thanks.

Best Board Shorts on Earth!

I actually bought these for my son's birthday and they are the 1st pair I have ever purchased that were new. They are one size too small, my mistake but Birdwell made the exchange super easy. I own a pair of Birdwells that I bought second hand several years ago that were produced in 1977 and still in excellent condition with daily use. I have never been able to afford a new pair but I wanted to get my son the best. Someday I hope to spoil myself as no other board shorts compare to my Birdies!

Timeless Classic

As a longtime Birdwell Boardshorts wearer (since 1978), I am fully committed to this product. Although I miss the velcro fly and the aglets on the cord, Birdwell still makes the greatest bathing suit known to man.
