Much of our clothing inspiration comes from vintage military pieces. Surf brands were barely a thing in the early days. Old military wear was the surfer's choice in the 60s - the counter-culturalist's uniform was hard-wearing, classic, and fully repurposed.
The Ghurka Short is named after the intrepid Gurkha (Gorkhali) regiments - a mash-up of British, Indian, and Nepalese soldiers whose affinity for courage was legendary.
