Product Details

The Limited-Edition Patriot 808 is designed to help you celebrate and stay on the move all summer and beyond. Our longest running annual limited-edition marks the beginning of the summer holiday season, with a color-blocked design classic enough to wear any weekend.

The 808 silhouette, whose name honors surfing’s Hawaiian roots, is a modernized version of Ms. Birdwell’s original design built in versatile, motion-friendly SurfStretch™️ — a four-way stretch fabric strong enough to hold its own against our legendarily tough SurfNyl™️. Sewn from a single layer of woven microfiber by expert craftspeople in Santa Ana, California, the 808 is lighter, softer, and more mobile — without sacrificing the rugged durability that’s made Birdwell an icon of classic surf style. With a simple button fly, a tab closure for an adjustable fit, and a timelessly appealing contrast stitch, these shorts are built to move wherever the sun takes you.

  • Features: Patriotic color blocked waistband on the exterior and navy SurfNyl™️ interior waistband lining. Body has contrasting Navy and Red SurfStretch leg panels. Triple Lace Tab Closure With Brass Nickel Grommets. Navy flat Drawcord with black tips. Featuring Red Contrast Stitching & American Flag Button detail on back flap pocket. Circle Birdwell Beach Britches patch on wearer's left leg. 60th Anniversary Woven Birdie Label At Center Back Waistband.
  • Fit: Medium length. Outseams range between 17” – 21” depending on your waist size. Tab closure allows for minor adjustments in fit.
  • Fabric: Body - SurfStretch & Inner Waistband - SurfNyl
  • Construction:  Fail-safe clean finished double- and triple-stitched seams. Hand-cut and sewn in Santa Ana, CA.
  • Care: Machine Wash Cold, Do Not Bleach, Lay Flat to Dry, Do Not Iron, Do Not Dry Clean
